A Primary Alternative

Did you notice how Steve Womack, the newly-elected congresscritter for northwest Arkansas, voted on the debt ceiling deal? He towed that party line and voted for Boehner’s deal, opening the door for trillions more in debt to accumulate over the next several years.

As a conservative, is this what you want to see from your elected representative, one more member of the political machine who tows the party line and doesn’t give a flip what you think or why you put him in office? Continue reading

Something Stinks in Arkansas

And it’s not just the chicken houses.

For years now Arkansas legislators have been supplementing their regular monthly income with a little extra money doled out under the table. They have been handing in expense reimbursement invoices without any proof of the actual expenses incurred. In some cases, the billing entity with its name on the invoice is a LLC owned by the legislator’s spouse. In other instances, the invoice shows the legislator as a DBA that is billing the state for expenses incurred while providing services to himself. Continue reading

Hawaii Governor Says Obama’s Birth Certificate Is AWOL

The clot gets a little thicker. Anyone want to guess where Daddy O’s birth certificate is if it isn’t anywhere in Hawaii’s records?

EDIT: Mike Evans, the guy in the radio segment who says Abercrombie told him he couldn’t find Obama’s birth certificate, now says he misspoke. It’s about time someone got this Evans guy in line. What was he thinking?

On Second Thought, About That Birth Certificate . . .

First, Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie, liberal Democrat, said he would produce Obama’s birth certificate to shut all of those birthers up. Then he said he couldn’t find the actual long-form certificate but said he had found mention of it in the state archives. Now, we have come full circle to the Hawaii officials siting the state law that says a long-form birth certificate can’t be released without the person’s consent. Obama has spent a lot of money to keep this document under wraps, so it’s safe to say he doesn’t consent.

Someone on Obama’s team should have gotten the governor’s mind right before he started spouting off these crazy notions of transparency and the like. What was he thinking?

Paul Ryan Spells It Out

Paul Ryan, R-Wisc, is now the chairman of the Congressional Budget Committee. As such, he has enough time to take the floor to point out how democrats spun the Congressional Budget Office when they said that Obamacare will amount to a cost savings.

Remember how the dems kept saying Obamacare would be less than $1 trillion? The actual projected cost is $2.6 trillion. If this freedom-grab is allowed to completely go into affect, I’m afraid the true cost will be far greater.
